Death

Death will be here,
in a flash, in the flesh,
in a moment of inattention...
With the trickery of time,
a long line of events
seems to lie before, prevents
that moment      from occurring..
Or... so          it seems, so many dreams held,
of the             future interrupting,
that it             seems to disappear...
into that        future, like perspective,
and my invective at my lot,
is just a dot, so small, it's all
so undiscernible, while my mind is in the
here and now.. of the present.
And so my present dominates,
 and all my hate of that condition
  that is both mans and beasts,
   and plants and all else living,  
     to die anon,is turned to song,
    a love of life,
   the usual search to find a wife
...or lover...
to run for cover,
all those tasks
in every day,
do now hold sway...
    So I just cover-up,
      smother-up,
     the knowing,
  as I,sowing,
 farm the joy
in everyday.
